700 COVID-19 test kits mula sa South Korea, natanggap ng DOH, DFA

Natanggap na ng Department of Health (DOH) at Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang 700 units ng COVID-19 test kits mula sa gobyerno ng South Korea.

Isinagawa ang turnover ceremony sa tanggapan ng DFA sa Pasay City.

Dumalo sa turnover ceremony sina Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., Republic of Korea Ambassador Han Dong Man.

Kasama rin sa seremonya sina National Task Force against COVID-19 Spokesperson Ret. Major General Restituto Padilla, Chief of Presidential Protocol Robert Borje III, at ilang opisyal sa DFA.

Nagpaabot naman ng pasasalamat si Duque sa suporta ng South Korea para sa pagsugpo ng COVID-19.

“The provision of these test kits will be instrumental in the country’s war against COVID-19. I am thankful to the Republic of Korea for its unending support. Only through international solidarity and cooperation like this will we be able to succeed against this global enemy,” pahayag ni Duque.

Ayon sa DOH, sa pamamagitan ng 700 test kits, makakapagsagawa ng 35,000 tests.

Makakatulong din anila ito para mapalawak pa ang testing capacity ng bansa.

Ipapadala ang mga test kit sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine o RITM at iba pang Subnational laboratories.
