Babala ng DILG sa mga nahuling miyembro ng Anakpawis: Huwag na muling lumabag sa ECQ
Nagbabala ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga nahuling miyembro ng Anakpawis na huwag na muling lumabag sa umiiral na enhanced community quarantine.
Ito ay kasunod ng pagkakalaya ng anim na miyembro ng Anakpawis at dating Anakpawis party-list representative Ariel Casilao makaraang magpiyansa matapos maaresto sa Norzagaray, Bulacan noong April 19.
Ayon kay DILG Secretary Eduardo Año, walang sinumang ang makakaligtas kung lalabas sa ECQ guidelines na itinakda ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease at ng kagawaran.
“They were in violation of ECQ guidelines at the time when the the entire country is struggling to contain the coronavirus to prevent further transmission. Ang ganitong mga paglabag ay hindi lamang taliwas sa batas ngunit isang banta sa kalusugan ng ating mga kababayan,” ani Año.
Umaasa ang kalihim na hindi na ulit susuway sa ECQ ang mga ito.
“Now that they have posted bail, we hope that they will not do it again dahil hindi naman tayo magdadalawang-isip na dakpin silang muli,” dagdag pa nito.
“The Anakpawis incident was a clear demonstration of how food pass can be exploited for malicious intents in the guise of relief operation for the poor. Sinabi na din po ng Department of Agriculture (DA) na hindi po maaaring gamitin ang food pass sa pamamahagi ng relief goods,” pahayag pa ni Año.
Nakapagpiyansa ang mga nahuling miyembro ng Anakpawis ng P39,000 bawat isa dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act 11332 at iba pang batas habang si Casilao naman ay nagbayad ng piyansa na P30,000 dahil sa Usurpation of Authority.
