29 na barangay pinadalhan ng show cause order ng DILG dahil sa kabiguang ipatupad ang ECQ

Pinadalhan ng show cause order ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang 29 na kapitan ng barangay sa Metro Manila.

Ito ay dahil sa hindi maayos na pagpapatupad ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa kani-kanilang komunidad.

Ayon kay DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año pinadalhan ng show cause order ang mga barangay dahil sa sumbong na rin ng mga concerned citizen.

“Dumating na tayo sa ganitong punto sapagkat hindi maayos na binabantayan ng ilang punong barangay ang kanilang nasasakupan. Hindi puwedeng maging kampante sa Covid-19 lalo’t ‘di pa alam ang lunas nito. Marami na ang nasawi kabilang na ang ilang doktor at health workers,” ayon kay Año.

Si DILG Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs, Martin B. Diño, ang nanguna sa pamamahagi ng show cause order sa mga barangay.

Mayroon silang 48 oras para magpaliwanag kung bakit hindi sila dapat masampahan ng kasong administratibo.
