18 bilanggo sa Correctional Institution for Women nagpositibo sa COVID-19 ayon sa BuCor

Labingwalong bilanggo sa Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Sa ulat ni Corrections Superintendent Virginia Mangawit kay BuCor chief Gerald Bantag, nang mayroong isang PDL ang nadala sa opsital at nagpositibo sa COVID-19 ay agad nagsagawa ng contact tracing sa mga nakasalamuha nito.

Isinailalim sa COVID-19 test sa Philippine Red Cross ang 42 PDLs at 9 na BuCor medical staff na na-expose sa pasyente.

At base sa resulta, 18 PDLs at 1 staff ng BuCor ang positibo sa sakit.

Pawang mild na sintomas ang ipinakikita ng mga nagpositibo habang ang iba ay asymptomatic.

Binabantayan sa ngayon ang kanilang kalusugan at binibigyan ng bitamina, gamot at pagkain para lumakas ang resistensya.

Nagsasagawa na ng contact tracing sa nakasalamuha ng 18 PDLs at isang BuCor staff.
