CHR, kinondena ang pag-atake ng ASG sa mga sundalo sa Sulu
Mariing kinondena ng Commission on Human Rights (CHR) ang ginawang pag-atake ng Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) sa tropa ng pamahalaan sa Sulu.
Naganap ang engkwentro sa bayan ng Patikul noong Biyernes, April 17.
Ayon kay CHR spokesperson, Atty Jacqueline Ann de Guia, nakalulungkot na buhay ng mga sundalo ang kapalit para sa inaasam na kapayapaan sa mga komunidad.
“It is most unfortunate that our soldiers’ lives are the cost of securing peace in our communities,” pahayag nito.
Nagparating din ng dasal at pakikiramay ang CHR sa naiwang pamilya ng mga nasawing sundalo.
“And in honour of the sacrifices of our heroes, we call on the government to ensure assistance to the bereaved families,” dagdag pa nito.
