Puganteng Koryano, nahuli ng BI sa NAIA

Nahuli ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang puganteng Koryano sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Ang dayuhan ay wanted sa South Korea dahil sa pagkakasangkot sa cyber crime at illegal online gaming business.

Ayon kay Grifton Medina, hepe ng BI port operations division, nahuli si Ju Minhyeok, 23-anyos, sa NAIA Terminal 1 bago sumakay sa isang Aseana Airlines flight patungong Incheon noong Huwebes, April 16.

Sinabi ni Medina na napag-alaman ng immigration officer na kabilang sa Interpol watchlist ang pangalan ng dayuhan.

“He was arrested upon his arrival at the Incheon airport where operatives from the cyber crime investigation squad of the Busan police were waiting for him,” aniya pa Medina.

Ayon naman kay Atty, Rommel Tacorda, hepe ng BI-Interpol, katuwang umano ni Ju ang iba pang suspek na Koryano sa pag-operate ng ilang online gambling websites.

“Korean authorities charged that the suspects ran the sites called ‘Deadpool’ through which bettors could win or lose money by predicting the results of various sports competitions,” ani Tacorda.

Noong April 11 lamang inilabas ng Busan district court ang warrant of arrest laban kay Ju.
