Bilang ng na-repatriate na OFW, umabot na sa 16,000 – DFA
Umabot na sa mahigit 16,000 ang mga na-repatriate na overseas Filipino worker (OFW) mula sa iba’t ibang bansa.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), dalawang fligts lulan ang 571 Filipino crew members ang napauwi ng bansa, Linggo ng umaga.
Ito ay mga crew member sa Norweigan Breakaway mula sa Orlando, Florida.
Kasunod ng mahigpit na quarantine protocol, sumailalim ang repatriates sa masusing health inspection ng Bureau of Quarantine.
Sasailalim din ang mga repatriate sa 14-day facility based quarantine.
Sagot ng Norwegian Cruise Lines ang chartered flights ng Pinoy crew members habang ang local manning agency ng Norwegian Breakaway na CF Sharp ay ang nagbigay ng land transportation para maihatid sa quarantine facilities.
Tiniyak din ng DFA na mahigpit na tututukan ng manning agency at DOH ang mga repatriate.
