COVID-19 mass testing sa Parañaque City, sisimulan na sa April 20
Inanunsiyo na ng Parañaque City ang pagsisimula ng COVID-19 mass testing sa lungsod sa araw ng Lunes, April 20.
Ayon kay Mayor Edwin Olivarez, magkakaroon ng tatlong testing sites sa lungsod matapos aprubahan ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang paggamit ng rapid testing kits na nai-donate sa lokal na pamahalaan.
Magbubukas din ng mga karagdagang isolation facilities para matugunan ang posibleng pagdami ng kaso ng nakakahawang sakit.
Kabilang dito ang isang facility sa Ospital ng Parañaque sa Lunes at apat pang iba sa magkakahiwalay na pampublikong paaralan sa paparating na linggo.
Ani Olivarez, welcome development ito para labanan ang COVID-19.
“This is a very welcome development in our fight against Covid-19 because this will enable us to identify possible cases for early isolation and help curb the spread of this deadly disease,” pahayag ng alkalde.
Sinabi pa nito na malaking tulong ang pag-hire ng karagdagang doktor, nurse, medical technologists, IT personnel at iba pa para mapaigting ang hakbang ng City Health Office.
“With the new FDA-approved rapid testing kits, additional personnel and isolation facilities, we hope to ramp up our capability to at least 200 tests per day,” aniya pa.
