May posibilidad na matuloy ang pulong sa pagitan ng mga claimant countries sa South China Sea sa US/Asean Summit sa California.
Sa briefing ni Assistant Secretary Maria Helen Barber Dela Vega sa Malacanang, na bagaman sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Albert Del Rosario na sa ngayon ay plano pa lamang ito, hindi malayo na ito ay magkatotoo.
Aniya ang alam niya ay may pagkakataon na biglang nagpapatawag ng pulong ang mga claimant countries.
Sinabi ni Dela Vega na nangyari na ito dati pero ito ay pawang mga informal meetings sa pagitan ng mga member states.
