Global cases ng COVID-19 mahigit 2 milyon na

Sumampa na sa dalawang milyon ang kabuuang kaso ng COVID-19 sa buong mundo.

Sa pinakahuling datos ng John Hopkins University ay 2,047,731 na ang COVID-19 cases sa mundo.

Sa nasabing bilang mahigit 133,000 ang pumanaw at mayroong gumaling na mahigit 509,000.

Ang World Health Organization (WHO) ay naglabas ng guidelines na maaring gamiting gabay ng mga bansa bago magpasya kung babawiin na ba ang mga umiiral na lockdown.

Ayon kay WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, bago bawiin ang lockdown o community quarantine, dapat tiyakin muna ang mga sumusunod:

– COVID-19 transmission is controlled
– health system capacities are in place to detect, test, isolate & treat every case & trace every contact
– outbreak risks are minimized in special settings
– COVID19 preventive measures are in place in essential places people go to (workplaces, schools)
– importation risks can be managed
– communities are fully educated &engaged to adjust to the “new norm”.
