DILG, pinatitiyak sa LGUs at PNP na mananatiling sarado ang non-essential business establishments

Pinatitiyak ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa mga local government unit (LGU) at the Philippine National Police (PNP) na mananatiling sarado ang non-essential business establishments sa kasagsagan ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni DILG Secretary Eduardo Año na nakarating sa kanila ang mga ulat kung saan nagbukas ang ilang negosyo na hindi pinayagan na makapag-operate sa ilalim ng panuntunan ng IATF.

Nilinaw ng kalihim na walang ipinatupad na partial lifting sa ECQ.

“Our country will heal as one if and only if the government, the private sector, and the people stick to the strict enforcement of ECQ,” paliwanag ni Año.

Sa Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2020-062 ng DILG, inatasan ang lahat ng LGU na siguruhing sarado ang mga negosyo maliban sa nagbibigay ng ilang pangangailangan tulad ng pagkain, gamot, tubig, banking at remittance centers, power, energy, telecommunication, at iba pa

Dapat ding i-monitor ng LGUs na skeletal workforce lamang ang operasyon at istriktong nasusunod ang social distancing sa mga nabanggit na negosyo.

“If there is resistance or disobedience to authorities, the PNP has the authority to make arrests. Nasa gitna tayo ng state of public health emergency at kalamidad. Ang mga pasaway ay maaaring arestuhin sa paglabag sa Article 151 ng Revised Penal Code (RPC),” ayon pa sa kalihim.
