Pagpapalit ng riles sa MRT-3, iba pang utility relocation works pwedeng ituloy kahit may ECQ

Inaprubahan na ng Inter Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases ang hirit ng Department of Transportstion (DOTr) na ituloy ang utility relocation works at iba pang trabaho may kinalaman sa pang imprastraktura.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexi Nograles, tagapagsalita ng IATF, kabilang na rito ang labing-tatlong proyekto kagaya ng ng pagpalit sa riles ng MRT-3.

Kailangan aniyang samantalahin ito habang walang operasyon ang MRT-3.

Pero ayon kay Nograles, dapat pa ring pairalin ang paggamit ng skeletal staffing pattern, paggamit ng point-to-point shuttle para sa mga manggagawa, ang regular na disinfection ng mga workplaces, ang regular na pagmomonitor sa kalusugan ng mga nagtatrabaho, at ang striktong pag-implement ng social distancing measures.

“The IATF approves the request of the Department of Transportation to allow the resumption of utility relocation works and resume specified limited works across thirteen (13) rail projects, including rail replacement works for MRT-3, which can only be done when MRT-3 is not undergoing passenger operations,” pahayag ni Nograles.
