Special risk allowance sa public health workers, aprubado na ni Pangulong Duterte

Inaprubahan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagbibigay ng special risk allowance sa public health workers na nakikipagbuno sa COVID-19.

Sa ilalim ng Administrative Order Number 28 na nilagdaan sa April 6, makatatanggap ng allowance na 25 percent mula sa monthly basic pay ang health workers mula nang ipatupad ang enhanced community quarantine noong March 14.

“National government agencies (NGAs), government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs) and LGUs are authorized to grant a one-time COVID-19 SRA, equivalent to a maximum of 25 % of monthly basic salary/pay, to Public Health Workers (PHWs) who have great exposure to health risks and physical hardships in the line of duty, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic,” nakasaad sa AO.

Kabilang sa mga public health worker na makatatanggap ng allowance ang mga medical, allied medical at iba lang personnel na naka-assign sa mga ospital at healthcare facilities na direktang nagkaroon ng contact sa mga pasyenteng positibo sa COVID-19, mga persons under investigation at persons under monitoring.

Makatatanggap din ng kaparehong allowance ang mga civilian employee na regular, contractual, casual o part-time positions; mga manggagawa na nasa contract of service o o job order, mga barangay health worker na naka-assign sa mga ospital.
