COVID-19 test kits na likha ng UP-National Institute of Health aprubado na ng FDA

Tatlumpung COVID-19 test kits na gawa ng iba’t ibang kumpanya ang aprubado na ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for commercial use.

Sa nasabing bilang, 21 ang PCR test kits at 9 ang Rapid test kits.

Dahil sa dumarami ang kumpanyang makapagpo-produce na ng test kits para sa COVID-19 ay inaasahang mapabibilis pa ang pasasailalim sa test sa mga may sintomas ng sakit.

Kabilang sa inaprubahan ng FDA ang Real-Time PCR para sa COVID-19 na gawa ng Manila HealthTek, Inc.

Ito ang unang locally made PCR based COVID-19 test kit na naapurbahan ng FDA na likha ng University of the Philippines-National Institute of Health (UP-NIH) at pinondohan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Ang naturang test kit ay unang inaprubahan ng FDA para sa field trial.

Matapos maisumite ang requirements ay naisyuhan na ng sertipikasyon ang kumpanya para sa kanilang COVID-19 test kit.
