PICC, World Trade Center pinaco-convert ng IATF bilang quarantine facilities

Inatasan ng Inter Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na i-convert na ang ilang malalaking gusali o pasilidad sa bansa at gawing quarantine area para sa mga person under investigation o person under minitoring dahil sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexi Nograles, tagapagsalita ng IATF, dapat nang makipag-ugnayan ang DPWH sa mga pribadong sektor para maging quarantine area ang Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), World Trade Center, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, at iba pang mga pasilidad sa bansa.

Inatasan din ng IATF ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) na maghanap ng mga barko na magsisilbing floating quarantine centers.

Inatasan naman ng IATF ang Department of Tourism (DOT) na maghanap ng mga hotel o iba pang kahalintulsd na establisyemento sa bawat rehiyon sa bansa para maging quarantine area.

Ayon kay Nograles, ang Bureau of Quarantine ay inaatasan na pag-aralan kung akma ang mga pasilidad na tutukuyin ng DOT.

Inaatasan naman ang mga local government unit na maghanap ng maayos na quarantine facilities sa kanilang lugar ayon sa pamantayan na itinakda naman ng Department of Interior and Local Government

“The DOH Centers for Health Development and the regional offices of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Local Government Units (LGUs), including uniformed services, shall form composite teams who will serve as personnel in quarantine facilities operated by the national government and LGUs. Ang mga composite teams na tatao sa mga quarantine facilities ay bubuuin ng mga tauhan ng DOH Centers for Health Development, regional offices ng DILG, at mga kawani ng mga LGU,” pahayag ni Nograles.
