Field validation ng test kits ng DOST matatapos na
Patuloy ang ginagawang field validation sa COVID-19 testing kits ng Department of Science and Technology o DOST na gagamitin para sa coronavirus 2019 o COVID-19.
Ayon kay Beth Padilla, ng DOST Public Information Office, inaasahang sa April 1, Miyerkules ay makukumpleto o matatapos na ang field validation sa test kits.
Inaasahan naman na ang Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) mula sa Food and Drug Administration Philippines (FDA) ay ilalabas sa Biyernes, April 3.
Naimpormahan na rin aniya ang FDA na sa April 1 ay maisusumite na ng DOST ang mga hinihinging rekisito para sa CPR Certification.
Nabatid na may kabuuang 120,000 test kits ang gagawin ng The Manila HealthTek Incorporated.
Kinumpirma na rin aniya ng manufacturer na dumating na ang first batch ng reagents kaya masisimulan na ang proseso ng production.
Mula April 4 hanggang April 25, magkakaroon aniya ng field implementation para sa 26,000 testing kits na pinondohan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) at ng University of the Philippines-National Institutes of Health (UP-NIH) Project.
Tinitiyak aniya ni DOST Secretary Fortunato de la Pena na prayoridad ng ahensiya ang production ng 26,000 test kits para sa field implementation and distribution sa Philippine General Hospital, Makati Medical Center, The Medical City, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Southern Philippines Medical Center, at Baguio General Hospital.
Ang natitirang 94,000 testing kits ay ibebenta naman ng The Manila HealthTek sa halagang P1,300 kada kit, na mas mura kumpara sa mga ginagamit sa mga ospital na nagkakahalaga ng P8,000 kada test kits.
Tinitiyak din aniya ng The Manila HealthTek na may sapat na orders ang pribadong sektor na ido-donate sa Department of Health at mga hospital.
