DOH, nilinaw na ibang brand ng test kits ang tinukoy na may 40 porsyentong accurancy

Nilinaw ng Department of Health (DOH) na ang inisyal na 2,000 BGI RT-PCR test kits at 100,000 Sansure RT-PCR test kits na nai-donate ng Chinese government ay kasing kalidad ng test kits mula sa World Health Organization (WHO).

Ayon sa kagawaran, ang Sansure test kits ay mayroong required reagents para maging matagumpay ang pagsusuri.

“This means that no other reagents will need to be separately procured by the Philippine government to use the test kits,” pahayag pa ng DOH.

Samantala, nilinaw din ng DOH na iba ang brand ng binanggit na test kit na mayroong 40 porsyentong accuracy sa isang press briefing noong March 28.

“The test kits mentioned during the press briefing by the Department of Health last 28 March 2020 referred to another brand of test kit that was proposed to be donated by a private foundation,” ayon sa kagawaran.

Dagdag pa ng DOH, “Upon preliminary review of documents by RITM, subsequent validation was necessary. To minimise this extra step, parties agreed to use BGI and Sansure RT-PCR test kits for subsequent donations.”

Humingi naman ng paumanhin ang DOH sa naidulot nitong kalituhan.
