Babaeng staff ni Sen. Pia Cayetano, tinamaan ng COVID-19

Tinamaan din ng Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19 ang isang babaeng staff ni Senator Pia Cayetano.

Sa abiso ni Senate Secretary Atty. Myra Marie Villarica, ipinaalam ito ng opisina ng senadora.

Wala naman aniyang travel history sa ibang bansa ang staff.

“Her infection was traced to a person close to her family,” ayon sa pahayag.

Ani Villarica, pumasok pa sa trabaho ang staff noong March 11, huling araw ng sesyon, ngunit hindi pumunta sa plenary hall.

Nakaramdam aniya ang staff ng mild symptoms ng sakit pagkalipas ng March 11.

“Neither the patient nor the staff members who were in direct contact with her were required to report for the special session on March 23,” dagdag pa nito.

Tiniyak din ni Villarica na ginagawa na ang lahat ng hakbang ng Senado at opisina ni Sen. Cayetano para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng pasyente.

Nagsasagawa na rin aniya ang Senate Medical Team ng contact tracing, pagpapatupad ng quarantine at pagbibigay ng anumang tulong sa mga nakasalamuha nitong empleyado.

“Once again, Senate President Vicente C. Sotto III enjoins all employees to follow the national and local government guidelines on the enhanced community quarantine, including social distancing, and to give an honest reporting of one’s medical condition should any of the symptoms present itself for proper evaluation by health professionals,” aniya pa.
