RITM director hindi pinalitan ayon sa DOH

Sinabi ng Department of Health (DOH) na hindi nito inalis sa pwesto ang direktor ng Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) na si Dr. Celia Carlos.

Sa paglilinaw na inilabas ng DOH, nananatiling direktor ng RITM si Carlos.

Isinailalim umano sa pangangasiwa ni DOH Asst. Sec. Nestor Santiago ang RITM para makapag-focus si Dir. Carlos sa kaniyang medical expertise at pag-optimize ng functions ng RITM.

Si Asec. Santiago naman ang gagabay at magma-manage sa expansion ng testing capacity sa mga public at private laboratories.

Si Santiago din ang bahala sa koordinasyon sa ibang ahensya ng gobyerno.

Sinabi ng DOH na nagkaroon ng pagkakamali sa naunang kumalat na draft na nagsasabing si Carlos ay papalitan na ni Santiago.

Agad din umanong binawi ang nasabing dokumento.

Humingi naman ng paumanhin ang DOH sa nangyari. /DD
