Isang Filipino sa South Korea, nagpositibo sa COVID-19

Inihayag ng Philippine Embassy sa Seoul na nakatanggap sila ng kumpirmasyon mula sa Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) na isang Filipino ang nag-positibo sa Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19 noong Biyernes, March 20.

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ng embahada na ito ang unang confirmed COVID-19 case na Filipino sa nasabing bansa.

Nagkaroon ng travel history sa ibang bansa ang pasyenteng Filipino bago nakaranas ng mga sintomas.

Sinuri ang Pinoy sa isang ospital sa South Korea noong March 19 at lumabas ang resulta na positibo ito noong March 20.

Tiniyak naman ng embahada na mahigpit silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa KCDC at local health authorities para matutukan ang lagay ng Filipino.

Nakahanda rin ang embahada sakaling mangailangan ng anumang tulong ang Filipino.
