4 pang laboratories sa bansa maaari nang sumuri sa COVID-19 patients
Apat pang laboratories sa bansa ang maari nang sumuri sa mga pasyente na hinihinalang mayroong COVID-19.
Ayon kay Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire ang mga laboratories na ito ay nasa San Lazaro Hospital sa Maynila, Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center sa Cebu City at Southern Philippines Medical Center sa Davao City.
Bago ito ay tanging ang Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) sa Muntinlupa lamang ang nakapagsasagawa ng clinical tests para sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Vergeire, kaya ng nasabing mga ospital na magproseso ng humigit kumulang 50 hanggang 300 tests kada araw.
Dahil dito mas mapapabilis aniya ang paglabas ng mga resulta ng test.
Maliban sa limang laboratories, sinabi ni Vergeire na nagtatayo na ang DOH ng dalawa pang subnational laboratories sa Western Visayas Medical Center sa Iloilo City at sa Bicol Public Health Laboratory.
