Nag-negatibo si Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Benjamin Diokno sa Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
Sa inilabas na pahayag, matatapos ang self-quarantine ni Diokno sa araw ng Miyerkules, March 18.
Sinabi pa ng BSP na papasok na sa trabaho sa Huwebes, March 19, si Diokno kasabay ng isasagawang Monetary Board policy meeting.
“The continued health of members of the Monetary Board is paramount to the stability of the financial system amidst this pandemic,” ayon pa sa BSP.
Hinikayat din ni Diokno ang mga miyembro ng financial system na makipagtulungan sa gobyerno para maiwasan ang paglaganap ng nakakahawang sakit.
“Rest assured that the BSP continues to foster price stability, financial stabilitym and an efficient payments system to promote the economic well-being of Filipinos,” dagdag ng ahensya.
