CHED, hinikayat ang mga paaralan na bigyang-konsiderasyon ang paniningil ng school fees

Hinikayat ng Commission on Higher Education ang mga eskwelahan na bigyang-konsiderasyon ang paniningil ng school fees.

Ayon kay CHED chairman Prospero De Vera III, kasunod ito ng suspensyon ng mga trabaho nang isailalim sa enhanced community quarantine ang Luzon bunsod ng banta ng Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19.

Nakakatanggap kasi aniya ang CHED ng apela mula sa mga estudyante at magulang na nahihirapang magbayad ng tuition at miscellaneous fees sa mga private higher education institution.

Ani De Vera, dapat ikonsidera ng mga paaralan ang sitwasyon ngayon.

“I urge other private higher education institutions to find considerate and compassionate ways to address the concerns relative to the collection of tuition & miscellaneous fees during these difficult times, but without also undermining the prompt payment of salaries of their faculty and other school personnel,” pahayag pa nito.

Maaari aniyang tulong sa mga estudyante ang hindi pagkolekta ng tuition fees sa loob ng 30 araw na quarantine period at pagsuspinde ng late payment penalties.

“This will alleviate the concerns of parents who are unable to pay because of the travel restrictions or the projected loss of income during the quarantine period,” dagdag ni De Vera.
