Casino operations at iba pang gaming activities, sinuspinde ng PAGCOR

Sinuspinde ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) ang lahat ng gaming operations kasunod ng banta ng Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Sakop ng suspensyon ang land-based casinos (PAGCOR-owned and operated at licensed and integrated resort-casinos), electronic game, bingo, sports betting, poker at slot machine clubs.

Sinabi ng PAGCOR na epektibo ang suspensyon sa kasagsagan ng ipinatutupad na community quarantine sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Kasunod naman ng direktiba ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, mananatili namang bukas ang restaurants at food outlets sa gaming areas.

Maaari pa rin anilang makapag-accommodate ng mga bisita ang mga hotel na may casino at gaming facilities.

Bilang suporta sa mga hakbang ng gobyerno laban sa virus, ipinagbabawal ng PAGCOR ang public gatherings sa mga gaming venue at licensed gaming properties.

Ipinaliwanag pa ng ahensya na layon lamang nitong maproteksyunan ang mga gaming employee at customer.

Samantala, papayagan namang makapag-operate ang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) basta kaunti lamang ang papayagan sa workplace para maipatupad ang social distancing at quarantine protocols.
