444 Filipino mula MV Grand Princess sa US, ire-repatriate ng DFA

Nakatakdang pauwiin ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang 444 Filipino na sakay ng MV Grand Princess na nakadaong sa Port of Oakland sa California, USA.

Ayon sa kagawaran, kabilang sa mga mare-repatriate na Filipino ang 438 crew members at anim na pasahero ng cruise ship.

Inaasahang darating ang mga Filipino sa Haribon Hangaer sa Clark Airbase sa Pampanga.

Dumaan ang Filipino repatriates sa health screening na pinangasiwaan ng US Department of Health and Human Services.

Pagdating sa Pampanga, agad ililipat ang mga repatriate sa chartered buses para dalhin sa Athletes’ Village sa New Clark City, Tarlac kung saan sila sasailalim sa 14-day quarantine period.

Samantala, boluntaryo namang nanatili sa cruise ship ang 91 Filipino crew members para mabuo ang Minimum Safe Manning and Minimum Operational Manning teams.

Patuloy naman ang DFA, sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Consulate General sa San Francisco, sa pag-finalize ng mga detalye ng repatriation ng 444 Filipinos sakay ng cruise ship.

“The repatriation preparations undertaken by the DFA include securing clearances and permits for disembarkation, as well as land transfer to the chartered plane,” dagdag ng DFA.
