Sa pahayag ni Presidential Security Group (PSG) commander Colonel Jesus Durante sa Radyo Inquirer, sinabi nito na buong araw isasara ang Main Palace building para sa magsagawa ng disinfection at decontamination.
“Yeah actually sandali lang naman ‘yung disinfectation but gagawin kasi by sector, so I’m not sure how they’re gonna do
it. Pero some of the sectors will be closed. So siguro for the whole day kasi hindi nila kaya pagsabay-sabayin lahat ‘yan
eh,” ani Durante.
Isasagawa aniya ang disinfection sa buong Main Palace building lalo na sa mga lugar kung saan nagsasagawa ng mga pulong.
“Actually its just a letter sa Internal House Affairs Office (IHAO) na we’ll be conducting, conducting yun nga, yung disinfectation dun sa buong Palace. Especially dun sa areas na nagheheld tayo ng mga meetings,” ayon sa PSG commander.
Ani Durante, posibleng maapektuhan ang pasok ng mga empleyado bunsod nito.
“For the meantime actually I issued a memo dito sa IHAO that ang sabi ko ang disinfectation sandali lang ‘yan. It’s a
matter of walang half day. So pwede namang pumasok half day or pwede rin hindi. Kasi ang disinfectation is medyo
talagang sprayan ang buong room, all of the rooms there in the Palace. Its up to those sa medical team actually na mag-ano bukas if they will be allowed to enter one day after nag-spray na sila dun o matapos na sila. But their request is
actually for the whole day tomorrow,” pahayag ni Durante.
Tiniyak naman ni Durante na mabilis na maibabalik sa normal ang pasok sa Main Palace buildingpagkatapos ng disinfection dahil environment-friendly ang gagamiting kemikal ng medical team.
“Yeah actually at the end of the day back to normal na ‘yan, back to normal na ‘yan. Coz the chemical that will be used is
environment-friendly according to our medical team. And water soluble siya, so dapat powerful pa rin to kill the bacteria
or virus na andun sa area,” dagdag pa nito.
