Hindi na tutuloy si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kaniyang pagbisita sa Boracay Island.
Ito ang inihayag ni Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo.
Sa Huwebes, March 12, may nakatakda sanang pagbisita sa Boracay para mamahagi ng Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) sa mga magsasaka.
Pupunta na rin siya sana sa isang hotel sa Boracay para i-promote ang local tourism sa gitna ng banta ng Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
Ayon kay Panelo, imo-move ang schedule ng pangulo sa mga susunod na araw.
Hindi pa naman nabanggit kung kailan ire-reschedule ang event ng pangulo.
“In light of the recent developments and after careful review of the situation concerning the coronavirus disease
(COVID-19) in the country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will not proceed to Boracay Island on Thursday, March 12, as
earlier scheduled,” pahayag ni Panelo.
