Alert level 1 itinaas sa Mt. Kanlaon
Itinaas ng Phivolcs ang alert level ng Mt. Kanlaon sa Negros matapos makapagtala ng aktibidad nitong nakalipas na mga araw.
Ayon sa Phivolcs mula sa Alert Level 0 na normal alert ay itinaas sa Alert Level 1 o abnormal ang alert status ng bulkan.
Simula noong March 9, 2020 ay nakapagtala na ng 80 volcanic sa Mt. Kanlaon, karamihan dito ay pawang mahihina lamang naman.
Sinabi ng Phivolcs na ang tumataas na aktibidad ng bulkan ay maaring masundan ng steam-driven o phreatic eruption.
Sa ilalim ng Alert Level 1 status sinabi ng Phivolcs na nasa period of unrest ang bulkan.
Inaabisuhan ang local government units at ang publiko na iwasan ang pagpasok sa 4-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) ng Kanlaon.
