Visitation privileges sa Bilibid, sinuspinde dahil sa COVID-19

Suspendido muna sa loob ng isang linggo ang visitation priviledges sa New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) sa Muntinlupa City at sa iba pang mga kulungan sa bansa na pinamamahalaan ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Ito ay matapos magdeklara ng State of Public Health Emergency si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at ang pagtaas ng Department of Health (DOH) sa Code Red Alert sub-level 1 dahil sa pangamba sa Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Simula sa Miyerkules, March 11 ay bawal munang bisitahin ang mga inmate sa mga nasabing kulungan bilang bahagi ng protocol o safety measures.

Kabilang sa prison facilities ng BuCor ang Correctional Institute for Women sa Mandaluyong City, Davao Prison and Penal Farm, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm sa Palawan, San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm sa Zamboanga City, Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm sa Occidental Mindoro at Leyte Regional Prison.
