Paniningil ng take-off at landing charges sa mga local airline sinuspinde na ng CAAP at MIAA

Hindi na muna sisingilin ng take-off at landing fee pati na ng parking fee ang mga local airline na labis na apektado ng COVID-19 scare.

Ayon kay Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, inatasan niya ang Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) at ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) na i-wave muna ang take-off, landing, at parking fees na binabayaran ng local airlines.

Malaki-laki na kasi ang nawala sa mga airline dahil sa mga travel ban na umiiral bunsod ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal, aabot sa P58 million ka buwan ang nakukulekta ng pamahalaan sa landing, take-off at parking fees mula sa local carriers.

Pag-aaralan pa ng MIAA at CAAP kung gaano katagal ipatutupad ang pag-wave sa naturang mga bayarin.
