Tax reform program ng pamahalaan nasa tamang direksyon – Rep. Salceda

Iginiit ni House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Joey Salceda na patunay lamang ang pag-angat ng bansa sa credit outlook ng bansa mula sa Fitch Credit Rating Agency na positibo ang idinudulot ng tax reform program ng pamahalaan.

Sinabi nito na pangunahing dahilan sa paglalagay ng credit outlook ng bansa mula sa “stable” patungo sa “positive” ay ang macroeconomic policies na bansa.

Ayon kay Salceda, bagaman magandang balita para sa Pilipinas ang inilabas na ulat ng Fitch ay may kaakibat naman itong babala na hindi pagtuloy sa m,ga tax reform ay maglalagay sa panganib sa credit rating ng Pilipinas na
maaring maging negative.

Kaugnay dito, hinikayat ni Salceda ang mga senador na huwag nang patagalin ang pag-apruba sa iba pang mga tax measures ng pamahalaan dahil magdudulot ito ng “fiscal risk”.

Sabi ng mambabatas, ginawa na ng Kamara ang kanilang bahagi sa tax reform bukod pa sa kahandaan na i-adopt ang bersyon ng senado upang makamit ang fiscal goals ng bansa.

Sa ngayon nakabinbin pa rin sa Senado ang Corporate Income Tax and Incentives Rationalization Act (CITIRA), Passive Income and Financial Intermediaries Tax (PIFITA) at Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVRA).
