Pangulong Duterte, hindi malambot sa Chinese POGO workers
Haka-haka lamang ni Senador Richard Gordon ang alegasyon na malambot si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga China.
Ito ay kahit kaliwa’t kanan ang kontrobersiya na kinasasangkutan ng mga Chinese na nagtatrabaho sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, hindi naging malambot si Pangulong Duterte kaninuman lalo na kung ang interes ng bayan ang nakataya.
“I disagree. Many do not know this President. The President is never soft on anything that relates to the national interest. He’s a very decisive President,” pahayag ni Panelo.
Pinaiimbestigahan na aniya ni Pangulong Duterte ang alegasyon sa mga POGO worker.
Kabilang sa mga anomalya na bumabalot sa POGO workers ang money laundering, prostitution den, hindi pagbabayad ng buwis sa pamahalaan at iba pa.
Kapag aniya natapos na ang ginagawang imbestigasyon at may findings na, tiyak na gagawan ng kaukulang hakbang ni Pangulong Duterte ang naturang problema.
“Well, as I’ve said – was it yesterday? – any malpractice, any corruption, any irregularity relative to any activity or project in this government are always being investigated. And after the findings, the President will act as always decisively,” dagdag pa nito.
