Si Gamboa at 5 iba pa na sakay ng helicopter ay isinugod sa Westlake Medical Center sa San Pedro.
Kabilang sa sakay ng chopper sina PNP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, Comptrollership chief Major General Jovic Ramos, at si Major General Mariel Magaway na pinuno ng Directorate for Intelligence ng PNP, dalawang piloto at isang technician.
Isang RP-3086 – Bell 429 Global Ranger model ang sinasakyang chopper nina Gamboa na nai-deliver sa PNP noong March 2018.
