Dalawang mataas na kalibre ng armas, IEDs narekober sa Maguindanao

Narekober ang ilang matataas na kalibre ng armas at improvised explosive devices (IEDs) sa dalawang pinangyarihan ng bakbakan noon sa pagitan ng ng tropa ng pamahalaan at Daesh-inspired terrorist group sa Maguindanao.

Nadiskubre ng mga sundalo mula sa 57th Infantry Battalion ang dalawang IED sa bahagi ng Barangay Salman sa Ampatuan dakong 4:50, Martes ng hapon (March 3).

Nakuha ang dalawang IED na gawa sa jetmatic pump habang nagsasagawa ang militar ng conducting combat clearing operation sa nasabing lugar.

Dinala naman ang dalawang IED sa kustodiya ng 57IB para sa documentation.

Samantala, nakumpiska naman ng mga miyembro ng 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion ang dalawang mataas na kalibre ng armas sa Barangay Tuayan, Datu Hoffer bandang 6:00, Miyerkules ng umaga.

Nakuha sa lugar ang isang 7.62mm improvised sniper rifle at isang 5.56mm improvised rifle.

Maliban dito, narekober din ng militar ang ilang sako ng bigas sa lugar.

Ayon kay Col. Jose Narciso, commander of the 601st Infantry (Unifier) Brigade, patuloy pa rin ang surgical operations para mahuli ang mga nakatakas na bandido.

“Operating troops continue to scour the two areas of engagement while surgical operations are continuously being conducted in possible withdrawal route of the enemies,” ani Narciso.

Ayon naman kay Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander ng Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom), patuloy ang kanilang opensiba laban sa mga militanteng grupo.

“We are continuously gaining grounds and we are remain steadfast in our efforts to crush down the remaining militants
who refuse to return to the folds of the law,” pahayag ni Sobejana.
