Displaced OFWs sa Hong Kong tinutulungan na ng pamahalaan

Tinutulungan na ng Overseas Workers Welfare Administration o OWWA ang 40 displaced OFWs sa Hong Kong.

Ayon kay OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, may mga tauhan na ng konsulada ng Pilipinas, POLO at OWWA na umaasiste sa mga Filipino domestic workers.

Kinumpirma din ng OWWA na 35 hanggang 40 OFWs sa Hong Kong ang sinibak sa trabaho ng kanilang employers.

Sa nasabing bilang ang 16 ay dahil sa relocation ng kanilang amo o maaring umalis sa Hong Kong ang amo dahil sa COVID-19 scare.

Mayroon namang 12 na inalis sa trabaho dahil sa isyu tungkol sa “rest day”.

Ang mga Pinoy na magpapasyang umuwi sa Pilipinas ay pagkakalooban ng livelihood o employment assistance ng pamahalaan.

Kung may nais namang magsampa ng kaso ay tutulungan din sila ng OWWA.
