Pinapayagan na ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases ang mga Filipino na makabiyahe sa South Korea maliban na lamang sa probinsya ng North Gyeongsang, Daegu City at Cheongdo County.
Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, kinakailangan lamang na lumagda ang mga Filipino ng health declaration form para batid nila ang peligro na susuungin sa pagtungo sa South Korea dahil sa Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19.
February 26 nang magpatupad ng partial travel ban ang Pilipinas sa South Korea dahil sa mataas na kaso ng COVID-19.
Tanging ang overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), mga may study grant at permanent resident visa holder lamang ang pinayagan na makabiyahe noon.
Samantala, sinabi ni Panelo na naghahanda na rin ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa pagpapauwi sa 148 na Filipinos mula sa Macau sa pamamagitan ng isang chartered flights.
May inaayos na rin ang Overseas Workers Welfare Adminiustation (OWWA) sa repatriation ng 48 na Filipino sa pamamagitan naman ng isang commecrcial flight.
Tiniyak naman ng Palasyo na maayos pa rin na natutugunan ng task force ang COVID-19.
“The IATF has approved to allow Filipinos to travel to South Korea except to the whole of North Gyeongsang Province, including Daegu City and Cheongdo County, where the virus outbreak is concentrated. All Filipinos who intend to visit other parts of South Korea shall execute and sign a declaration, signifying their knowledge and understanding of the risks involved in their trip. A health advisory pamphlet shall likewise be handed out to them upon their departure,” pahayag ni Panelo.
