DFA hihingi ng paglilinaw sa travel ban ng Saudi Arabia dahil sa COVID-19 scare

Makikipag-ugnayan ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa pamahalaan ng Saudi Arabia hinggil sa ipinatutupad na travel ban dahil sa banta ng COVID-19.

Ito ay kasunod ng pagkakaharang kay House Minority Leader Benny Abante sa Dubai para sa kaniyang biyahe patungong Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Ayon kay Abante, mula Dubai, hindi siya pinayagan na sumakay ng connecting flight patungong Jeddah dahil may umiiral na travel ban ang Saudi laban sa mga Filipino Nationals na tourist visa lamang ang hawak.

Ani Abante, hindi siya dapat sakop ng ban dahil ang official trip ang kaniyang pagtungo sa Jeddah.

Sinabi ni DFA Asst. Secretary Ed Meñez na kinukumpirma pa nila ang travel restrictions ng KSA dahil sa COVID-19.

Partikular na nais alamin ng DFA kung ano ang laman ng travel restrictions ng Saudi Arabia sa mga biyaherong Filipino.
