Ipapa-deport ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang British national na wanted dahil sa pangmomolestiya ng isang menor de edad na Filipina.
Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, naaresto ng BI fugitive search unit (FSU) ang suspek na si Kevin Victor Ryder, 58-anyos, sa Angeles City, Pampanga noong February 14.
Si Ryder ay isa aniyang registered sex offender (RSO) sa United Kingdom matapos ma-convict noong 2006 dahil sa kasong may kinalaman sa child pornography at nasentensiyahan ng 14 buwan sa kulungan.
“We received a request for the UK authorities that he be arrested and deported due to reports that he was grooming a 12-year-old girl in the Philippines,” ani Morente.
Ayon kay Bobby Raquepo, hepe ng BI FSU, limang taon nang ilegal na namamalagi sa Pilipinas ang dayuhan.
Base sa database, 2015 pa noong dumating ang dayuhan sa bansa.
Napaalis din si Ryder sa Thailand dahil sa committing sexual offenses laban sa mga kabataan.
Sinabi ni Morente na agad ipapa-deport ang dayuhan hindi lamang dahil isa itong overstaying alien kundi dahil banta ang presensya nito sa mga kabataang Filipino.
Ipapasama rin aniya ang dayuhan sa blacklist ng ahensya para hindi na makabalik ng bansa.
Sa ngayon, nananatili pa si Ryder sa BI Detention Facility sa Camp Bagong Diwa sa Taguig City habang hinihintay ang deportation nito.
