Tapos na ang konstruksyon ng flood-control project sa Batangas City, ayon sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Sa ulat ni DPWH Batangas 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) District Engineer Sonia Paglicauan, natapos ang river wall project noong December 2019.
Limang buwan itong mas maagang kumpara sa itinakdang deadline sa buwan ng Mayo.
Layon ng 360 metrong retaining wall na protektahan ang mga residente sakaling tumaas ang tubig sa Calumpang River sa Barangay Gulod Labac at Barangay Pallocan West.
Sinimulan ang konstruksyon ng P96.5-million river wall project noong July 31, 2019 na bahagi ng kanilang Flood Management Program ng DPWH mula sa 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
