WATCH: Pangulong Duterte, tinanggap na ang sorry ng ABS-CBN
Tinanggap na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang sorry ng ABS-CBN dahil sa pag-ere ng anti-Duterte commercial noong 2016 presidential elections.
Sa ambush interview sa Malakanyang, sinabi ng pangulo na tao din lang siya.
“Tao lang din ako. alam mo I kept a healthy distance from. it is now…they are now deliberating in Congress: the lower House and the Senate. There is a a plan that they will pass a joint resolution. but fundamentally really ang decision ay nasa House ngayon not so much in the Senate because the constitution says all of these things must originate from the Lower House. iyon yung…forget all about these hullaballoos. Nandiyan iyan sa House. the critical move is in the House. and I tell you I am not going to interfere. wala talaga ako. kung maniwala kayo okay kung hindi..but those who knows me alam nila,” ayon sa pangulo.
Kasabay nito, wala nang balak si Pangulong Duterte na tanggapin ang P2.6 milyong refund dahil sa hindi pagkaka-ere naman sa kanyang campaign materials.
Ayon sa pangulo, ibigay na lamang sa isang charitable institution na mapipili ng ABS-CBN.
“Ibigay na lang nila sa any charitable institution of their choice,” ani Duterte.
Sinabi pa ng pangulo na bahala na ang Kongreso na magpasya sa renewal ng prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
Kasabay nito, inamin ng pangulo na hindi niya kayang pigilan si Solitior General Jose Calida na iurong ang inihaing quo warranto laban sa ABS-CBN sa Korte Suprema.
Ibang opisina kasi aniya ang solicitor general at hindi kagaya ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
Kapag aniya nag-anunsyo na ang SolGen na mayroong paglabag sa batas ang sinuman o anumang kompanya, hindi na niya ito mahaharang o mapahihinto man lang.
“Ang problema kasi nito sa SolGen once he makes an official statement that there is a violation of law, then i-stop na ako. parang. istapal. di ako makagalawa. I cannot tell him to stop. the SolGen could always announce that there is a violation of law and that he is going to investigate it. Wala na akong…I cannot say na do not do it. Stop it. iyon yung problema sa SolGen. the SolGen does not clear with me unlike the Sec. of Justice. he will call my attention or he will bring it up in the Cabinet. ang SolGen hindi. He studies and then goes to the public and say there is a violation here. hindi ko na mapigil iyan. otherwise alam mo kung sabihin mo ang tao any may kasalanan or violations or any whatever that does not consonance with law…wala talaga ako. iba ang opisina ng SolGen kaysa sa Sec. of Justice. ang SolGen if he makes an annoucement during office hours, yung ulo ni maam. may cross pa naman,” dagdag ng pangulo.
Hindi naman mapagpasyahan pa ng pangulo kung lalagadaan o ivi-veto ang panukalang batas na ma-renew ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN sakaling makalusot sa Kongreso.
Ayon sa pangulo, “I will cross the bridge when I get there.”
Tatawagin din ng pangulo ang media para tulungan siya sa pagpapasya sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
