Pilipinas, nagpasalamat sa Japan sa pag-aalaga sa mga Pinoy na sakay ng MV Diamond Princess

Pinasalamatan ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang pamahalaan ng Japan dahil sa maayos na pag-aalaga sa mga Filipino na naka-quarantine sa MV Diamond Princess dahil sa Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (COVID-19).

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, saludo ang Pilipinas dahil tiniyak ng Japan na matugunan ang lahat ng mga pangangailangan ng mga Filipino na sakay at crew ng Diamond Princess.

“We thank the Japanese Government for the assistance they gave to our countrymen and their close cooperation with Filipino officials to ensure that the needs of our kababayans have been addressed,” ani Panelo.

Ayon kay Panelo, maayos na nakalapag ang dalawang chartered flights mula Japan patungong Clark Air Base sa Pampanga kung saan sakay ang 445 na Filipino crew members at mga pasahero ng Diamond Princess.

Kasabay nito, umaapela ang Palasyo sa publiko na sama-samang ipanalangin na magiging maayos ang lagay ng kasluugan ng mga umuwing Filipino at hindi tamaan ng COVID-19.

“Let us pray for this second batch of repatriates, as well as of the members of the repatriation team, and hope that everything will turn out well,” apela nito.

Sasailalim sa 14 araw na quarantine period ang mga umuwing Filipino sa New Clark City.
