Mga misa para sa Ash Wednesday nagsimula na; abo ibinudbod na lang sa ulo ng mga nagsimba

Sinimulan na ang oras-oras na misa sa Quiapo Church ngayong Ash Wednesday.

Ang Ash Wednesday ang hudyat ng pagsisimula ng Lenten season sa Simbahang Katolika.

Hudyat din ito ng pag-uumpisa ng pag-aayuno para sa buong panahon ng Kwaresma.

Simula alas 5:00 ng umaga ay inumpisahan ang oras-oras na misa sa Quiapo Church.

Bilang pagtalima sa utos ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) ay pinairal ang ‘no-contact’ sa paglalagay ng abo sa mga nagsimba.

Sa halip na ipahid sa noo ay ibinudbod na lamang sa noo ang abo.

Ito ay bahagi precautionary measures ng simbahan laban sa COVID-19.
