“Pastillas scheme” whistleblower isinailalim sa WPP
Nasa kostodiya na ng Witness Protection Program (WPP) ng pamahalaan ang whistleblower sa “Pastillas Scheme” sa Bureau of Immigration (BI).
Ayon kay Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra, pasok na sa WPP si Allison Chiong.
Ito ay base aniya sa kahilingan nina Senator Risa Hontiveros at Senate Pres. Tito Sotto II.
Sinabi ni Guevarra na sasailalim sa mas masusi pang evaluation si Chiong bago ibigay dito ang full coverage sa WPP.
Si Chiong na Immigration Officer I ng BI ay humarap sa pagdinig ng Senado Chiong at ibinunyag ang anomalya sa ahensya.
Aniya, may mga Chinese passengers na napapayagang makasok sa bansa nang hindi dumadaan sa “screening o profiling” kapalit ang salapi.
