LOOK: 2 bagong train sets ng PNR, inilunsad na

Inilunsad na ang dalawang bagong train set na may four-car formation ng Philippine National Railways (PNR).

Pinangunahan ang idinaos na ribbon-cutting ng bagong train sets nina Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, PNR Chairman of the Board Roberto Lastimoso at PNR General Manager Junn Magno, Huwebes ng umaga.

Iprinisinta sa media ang bagong 8100 Series Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) trains na mayroong walong rail cars na may four-car formation kada set.

Ayon sa PNR, dumaan ang dalawang bagong train set sa standard 150-hour validation test run.

Sa bagong DMU trains, mayroon itong karagdagang hand-holds available sa gitnang bahagi, polycarbonate glass windows, tropicalized air-conditioning at obstacle door detectors.

Sa talumpati, inihayag ni Tugade na sumasalamin ang proyekto sa pagtugon sa pangako at mandato ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na maghatid ng komportable pamumuhay sa mga Filipino.

Ang nasabing proyekto ay para aniya sa bawat Filipino.

Dagdag pa nito, resulta aniya ito ng pagtutulungan ng bawat tauhan ng PNR.

Nagparating naman ng pasasalamat si Magno sa lahat ng kawani ng PNR at suporta mula kay Tugade.

Kayang ma-accommodate ng dalawang bagong tren ang nasa 1,000 pasahero kada biyahe sa ruta mula Tutuban habang Alabang.
