Pag-ambush sa dating opisyal ng BuCor, walang epekto sa kampanya vs korupsyon – Palasyo

Kumpiyansa ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang na walang epekto sa kampanya kontra korupsyon ang pananambang kay dating Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) legal chief Fredrick Santos na una nang nagbunyag sa kontrobersiyal na bentahan ng Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, bagamat hindi matukoy ang motibo sa pananambang kay Santos, tiyak na may mga lulutang pa rin na mga whistleblower para ibunyag ang katiwalaan sa pamahalaan.

Hindi isinasantabi ni Panelo na may nasagasaan si Santos o personal ang naging motibo sa pananambang.

“It has nothing to do with the campaign against corruption. Because we don’t know exactly whether or not this is a personal case being, might be a retaliation from some personal wrong doing that he has committed. And even assuming it was done in relation to what he has done to this government, still, as I have said earlier, it will not thwart or stop the campaign against corruption because people there will always be coming out to tell the truth,” ani Panelo.

Sa ngayon, mas makabubuti aniyang hayaan muna ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon.

Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Panelo na mariing kinokondena ng Palasyo ang pananambang kay Santos.

Wala aniyang puwang sa administrasyon ang anumang uri ng karahasan at at paglabag sa batas.
