Konstruksyon ng MRT-7 hindi maantala kahit may cease and desist order
Tiniyak ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na hindi maantala ang konstrukyon ng Metro Rail Transit (MRT-7).
Ito ay kahit na nagpalabas ng cease and desist order si Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte dahil sa pangambang masira
ang heritiage site ng Quezon Memorial Circle.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Transportation Assistant Secretary Giovanni Lopez na hindi papayagan ni
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade na may mangyayari at maantala ang naturang proyekto.
Sinabi pa ni Lopez na sinusunod ni Tugade ang strict implementation ng proyekto.
Makaasa aniya ang taong bayan na aayusin ng DOTr at ng developer ng MRT-7 na San Miguel Corporation at contractor na EEI Corporation.
Pansamantalang hinarang ni Belmonte ang konstruksyon ng MRT-7 habang naghahanap pa ng win-win solution ang
magkabilang panig para masiguro na mapoprotektahan ang libu-libong commuter na makikinabang sa mass transport
at ng Quezon Memorial Circle na deklaradong national heritage park.
