Senate Pres. Sotto, okay sa ‘marijuana chemical’ vs Epilepsy
Hindi kontra si Senate President Vicente Sotto III sa paggamit ng cannabidiol (CBD) para makatulong sa mga may sakit na Epilepsy.
Ang cannabidiol ay isa lang sa mga kemikal na nakukuha mula sa marijuana.
Ngunit paglilinaw ni Sotto, ang kanyang suporta sa resolusyon ng Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) ay dapat ang cannabidiol ay nasa ‘medicine form’ at ayon sa regulasyon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Ayon pa sa senador, maaring hindi na dapat pag-aksayahan pa ng oras ng Kongreso ang pagpasa ng batas para maging legal naman ang paggamit ng ‘cannabis’ sa paggagamot.
Dagdag pa nito, ang paggamit ng ‘cannabis for medical purposes’ ay pinapayagan na ng Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
