Simbahan pinag-aaralang magpatupad ng non-contact Ash Wednesday

Pinag-aaralan na ng Simbahang Katolika ang pagpapatupad ng non-contact Ash Wednesday dahil sa banta ng COVID-19

Ayon kay Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Vice President at Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, tuloy pa rin ang pagdaraos ng Ash Wednesday masses sa February 26 pero maaring may pagbabago.

Sa halip aniya na ipapahid ang abo sa noo ay maaring ibudbud na lang ang abo ulo ng mga mananampalataya.

Sa ganitong paraan ay maiiwasan aniya ang body contact.

Inirekomenda rin ni David sa mga simbahan na iwasan na muna ang paglalagay ng holy water sa bukana ng mga simbahan.

Simula nang magkaroon ng banta sa COVID-19 ay iniwasan na rin sa mga simbahan ang paghahawak-hawak ng kamay kapag kinakanta ang Ama Namin.
