Mataas na bilang ng estudyante sa Bicol na hindi marunong magbasa, tumaas – DepEd

Nababahala na ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa mataas na bilang ng mga estudyante sa Bicol region ang hindi marunong magbasa.
Base sa talaan ng DepEd, aabot sa 70,000 na estudyante ang nasa kategoryang “no readers.”
Dahil dito, inatasan na ang DepEd ang lahat ng mga guro at school heads na pagtuunan ng pansin ang reading proficiency program.
Una nang sinabi ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones na rerebyuhin na ng DepEd ang implementasyon ng K to 12 program sa mga estudyante.
