DepEd, naglabas ng memorandum ukol sa suspensyon ng klase bunsod ng COVID-19

Papayagan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang pagsususpinde ng klase sa mga lugar na mayroong kumpirmadong kaso ng Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19.

Sa inilabas na memorandum na may petsang February 12, batay sa abiso ng Department of Health (DOH), otorisado ang mga regional director, school division superintendent at school head na mag-anunsiyo ng suspensyon ng klase.

Ayon sa kagawaran, maaaring mag-anunsiyo ang school heads kung mayroong isang kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 sa paaralan.

Kung dalawa o higit pang paaralan ang may kumpirmadong kaso ng sakit, maaaring magsuspinde ng klase ang school division superintendents sa mga apektadong paaralan at kalapit na lugar depende sa sitwasyon sa lungsod o probinsya.

Pwede ring magdeklara ang school division superintendents kung may community level transmission sa lugar.

Kung may community level transmission naman sa dalawa o higit pang lugar, regional directors na ang otorisadong magsuspinde ng klase sa apektadong probinsya.

Ayon sa DepEd, kailangang magsumite ng ulat ng lahat ng regional office at school division office ukol sa ipatutupad na suspensyon ng klase sa Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service (DRRMS) sa pamamagitan ng [email protected].

“The suspension of all national and regional activities involving learners and/or teachers requiring travel and congregation of various schools, divisions, and/or regions, and of all off-campus activities for the month of February 2020, as stipulated in Enclosure No. 2 to DM 15, s. 2020, remain in effect,” batay pa sa memorandum.

Tiniyak din ng kagawaran na patuloy silang magbibigang ng abiso ukol sa suspensyon ng klase kada linggo.
